Note: A PayPal account is not required to use this form - just choose "Check Out without a PayPal Account" (Pay with Credit or Debit Card).

Your registration will be confirmed via email when payment is received. Your child is not registered for the program until payment has been received and confirmed.

Change/Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made by May 30 will refunded, less $50 cancellation fee. After May 30 no refund is available but you may switch to a different week at no charge, if space is available, and the request is made at least two weeks before your originally scheduled start date.

Photo Release: By registering for the summer chess program, you give permission for images taken during the program week, that may include your child participating in a program activity, to be used soley for promotion of chess education and program activities of Play More Chess Academy and the Hamden Chess Club, and waive any rights of compensation or ownership thereto.

2024 Summer Program Description

Activities: Tactics Lessons, Puzzles, Rapid & Blitz games; Bughouse, Simuls, Instructional lectures, Structured activities and supervised play. Learn and practice new Openings and develop tournament skills. Break-time activities include foosball and ping pong.

Who: Students Ages 8-17 who are comfortable playing complete games to checkmate and interested in developing tournament skills. Players will be grouped by their level of play and age.

Location: Play More Chess Academy, 1227 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT
